• ESC which features a high-performance 32-bit ARM M4 microprocessor (with a running frequency of up to 72MHz) is compatible with various brushless motors.
• Microprocessor powered by a separate DC regulator has better anti-interference performance and greatly reduces the possibility of losing control.
• DEO (Driving Efficiency Optimization) Technology greatly improves throttle response & driving efficiency and reduces ESC temperature.
• Built-in high-power BEC with output voltage adjustable among 5.2V, 6.0V, and 7.4V. The BEC module is separate from other circuits on the ESC, so the normal BEC output can be guaranteed (when an issue like a burnt power board happens) to allow users to get the aircraft back before the crash. (Note: the FLYFUN 80A/120A/130A/160A-HV-OPTO-V5 doesn’t have this function.)
• Normal/Soft/Very Soft start-up modes are compatible with regular propeller airplanes and EDF jet airplanes (pls ensure to select the “Very Soft Start-up” mode when using EDF jet airplanes). • Separate programming cable for connecting ESC to a LED program box and allows users to program the ESC anytime, anywhere. (For detailed info, please refer to the user manual of the HOBBYWING LED program box.)
• Normal/proportional/reverse brake modes (esp. reverse brake mode) can effectively shorten the landing distance for the aircraft.(Note: Only 110A-HV-OPTO-V5 has this function.)  
• Multiple protection features like start-up, ESC thermal, capacitor thermal, over-current, over-load, abnormal input voltage, and throttle signal loss effectively prolong the service life of the ESC.

FlyFun 130A, 160A OPTO V5 ESC **EXTRA Installation Information**.

It has come to our attention that the FlyFun 160A OPTO HV ESC's and the FlyFun 130A OPTO HV ESC's connections are not documented properly in the instruction manual. Please see the connection instructions below. 

The FlyFun 130A, 160A OPTO HV ESC does not have a built in BEC (Battery Elimination Circuit) to power the receiver and any accessories. The receiver will need to be connected to an outside power source in order to operate the receiver and servos. 

Receiver and Program Connections:

To connect the FlyFun 130A, 160A OPTO HV ESC to your receiver insert the servo plug from the ESC with only the Black and White wire into the throttle port. (Black to Ground and White to Signal)

The other plug (Black, Red, White) that comes from the ESC is the programming plug. This will plug into your LED Program Box in the port that is labeled with the ground, power and signal(-+S). **To program the ESC you will NOT need to power the LED Program Box externally. ** Providing External power to the programmer will cause damage to the ESC**

Once you have connected the throttle plug (black and white only) to the receiver, power on the radio first, and then the receiver from an outside source. (Do not plug in the ESC Power). Once you have confirmed your receiver and radio are connected, you can begin the Calibration Process (Setting the throttle end points). 

Calibration Process or Setting the Throttle Range/Endpoints:

•     Start with the Radio turned on, the receiver powered up and your ESC unplugged from the battery.
•     To calibrate the FlyFun 130A, 160A OPTO HV ESC you will want to make sure your radio has throttle hold off, and then raise your throttle to the top position.
•     Next, plug in your battery to the ESC. The ESC will chime then beep twice to confirm that the top end point of the throttle has been accepted.
•     Within 5 seconds of the two beeps, lower the throttle to the bottom position. The ESC will beep twice to confirm that the lowest end point has been accepted.
•     Then the ESC will initialize (123 tone) then beep the battery cell count. (short single beeps for 1 cell, and long beeps for 5 cells. For 12S the ESC will beep 2 long tones for 10 cells, then 2 short beeps to make 12 cells total.)

After the initialization process is complete the ESC will return to normal operation.
